Good Magazine New York launch party. This magazine started by Ben Goldhirsh was described by party guest Emily Davidow, “It's like George[magazine] for people who are too young to remember JFK Jr. . They have some authors I admire... looking forward to reading. I think the unifying idea is that they want to deal with things that matter rather than fluff. Exactly how that's executed, I'm not sure yet.”

I couldn’t decide if the party was a big art installation or a rave. I got there early so for me it was a little bit philanthropy networking and then an art installation. By 10:30 DJ Sasha was spinning background music but it was clear the place was going to become a rave.
The space, Emergency Arts, was fantastic and perfect for the event. The intallations were excellent as well. My favorite was the dress made completely of Equal and Domino’s Sugar packages behind one of the upstairs bars.
Upstairs flash bulbs were going off as Al Gore was around. This guy Ben, must really have some connections. I heard a very unsubstantiated rumor that Laura Bush was there but I doubt it highly.
